How do QR codes work?
QR (Quick Response) codes were developed by Denso Wave in Japan, 1994. Square-shaped, scanned by camera, encode data. Higher error correction means partial damage doesn't break readability.
Tip
- If placing a logo in the center, use H error correction — tolerates 30% damage.
- Print at least 2cm × 2cm; smaller sizes are hard to scan.
- Use high contrast: dark foreground + light background. Avoid pastel + pastel.
- Shorten URLs before encoding — simpler QR, faster scanning.
